The State Group Inc. has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate, motivated and energetic individual to assume the role of Business Development Manager for our Projects and Services Group in Alberta. Reporting directly to the Vice President this position is responsible for developing business in assigned areas of strategic interest. The successful candidate will work with key organizational personnel and resources, to navigate new and potential customer organizations and make contact with customer representatives who actively make procurement decisions.  The role comprises the task of calling customer organizations, connecting with customers, networking, conducting presentations and selling our company services.


  • Increase profitable sales in construction, service and maintenance departments covering light industrial, power, oil & gas markets for provision of electrical construction, service and maintenance.
  • Make contact with contract and procurement staff of targeted projects and customers; create opportunities for management to meet decision makers with potential customer organizations.
  • Make cold calls where necessary and achieve success accessing decision makers within customer organizations.
  • Develop business throughout Alberta and Western Canada.
  • Demonstrate to prospective customers our history and capabilities while communicating the benefits of engaging State Group Inc.
  • Utilize company experience to identify and evaluate opportunities.
