We are seeking experienced and self-motivated Dual Ticket Electrical/Instrumentation Journeymen to add to our Alberta branch.  We offer an exciting opportunity to develop and grow along with our Alberta business.

Job Description:

  • Test, troubleshoot, repair and replace electrical systems, discrete devices, motors, frequency drives, SCRs, lighting and logic control components/ devices
  • Maintain Instrument systems including primary field devices, valves, actuators, meters and analyzers
  • Work with automation specialists to troubleshoot and repair control systems
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, Company policies, safety and environmental standards, good housekeeping and Responsible Care practices
  • Participate in risk assessments, Root Cause Failure Analysis and maintenance optimization or improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and troubleshoot process control problems
  • Install instrument tubing and small diameter pressure piping
  • Execute PMs on a regular interval including instrument calibrations
  • Identify, install, develop and implement upgrades on existing electrical and instrument equipment


  • Minimum of five years of industrial experience, in the oil & gas industry is an asset
  • Inter-provincial or Journeyman Electrical Certification. Electrician Class A designation and dual trade with Instrumentation Certification
  • Experience with performing routine maintenance of instruments, high and low voltage power distribution systems, rectifiers and transformers is required
  • Solid understanding and familiarity with electronic and pneumatic instrumentation systems
  • Able to work with minimum supervision within a multi-discipline team
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Computer literacy with the ability to work with MS Office applications
  • Strong focus on safety and environmental performance
  • Reliable, open to new ideas and committed to continuous improvement
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license
  • Available for work in Calgary and surrounding areas
